This summer, you can unlock confidence and resilience for vulnerable young people
The Youth Adventure Trust’s Unlocking Adventure campaign is raising funds to provide 10,000 hours of outdoor adventure for vulnerable young people during the summer months. These aren’t just hours outdoors – they’re life-changing experiences that build resilience, develop confidence and teach skills for a more positive future.
This summer, we’ll deliver a record-breaking 56,000 hours of adventure. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our corporate partners, loyal donors and grant funders, the first 46,000 hours are already funded. But to complete this ambitious goal, we need your help to unlock the final 10,000 hours.
Your support today will help a young person believe in themselves, overcome challenges, and discover what they’re truly capable of.
Why 10,000 hours?
Every hour of adventure we deliver is carefully designed to make a lasting impact on a young person’s life. From developing trust on a climbing wall to building resilience during a mountain expedition, these experiences can shape their future.
The final 10,000 hours represent the crucial last step to making this summer’s programme a success. With the foundations already in place, your donation will help ensure every young person gets the full benefit of our outdoor adventure programme.
“Thank you for pushing me out of my comfort zone, for helping me try new things and for boosting my confidence.”
Zac, aged 13
What your donation unlocks
Every pound you give transforms directly into adventure time. For example, here’s how your donation could make a difference:
Cliff Climbing- 2 hours
£9.26 could unlock a cliff climbing session on the Resilience Programme, giving a young person the chance to learn how to trust others
Mountain Expedition – 6 hours
Donate £27.78 and you could unlock a Mountain Expedition on Mountain Camp, a chance for young people to develop self-belief and build resilience.
Overnight Forest Bivvy – 12 hours
A gift of £55.56 could give a young person the chance to go on an overnight adventure in the woods, building their own shelter, cooking on a camp fire and learning how to overcome challenges.
